HX trim level owners

I am posting this topic to see how the HX trim level reacts with the different "bolt-on" performance parts. I am mainly refering to the Intake/Header/Exhaust/Hi-flow cat/NO2, and anything along subjecting the "lean burn system" to a change. I have had my 2k2 coupe HX for 6 months now and I am going to start with a "Injen cai" and a HKS rear section exhaust. So all you HX owners let's get some posts in this topic. Lets get the pro's and con's of what is good and bad on different setups. TIA

Hey man I have a Hx. I have the Injen CAI, and the car runs fine. I have a five speed and still get aleats 36 mpg on my stock tires. I don't have a full exhaust just a magnaflow muffler and it sounds pretty good. I think that if I go with a full exhaust it will kill my gas mileage, and I don't want that! Hope that helps! Anymore question man just PM me!

Mitch,
im curious also as to what will happen to the lean burn system. i own an HX also, but i consider it a waste of money for me to modify mines. mostly because of the lean system and also cause my ride is an AT. so far i've only done minor mods that cost lil or no money at all. another obstacle that stops me from modding the car is that my dad drives it on the weekends sometimes. which means if i lower or kit the ride, he most definitely wont be extra careful.

whatever you plan on doing, dont just take off the resonator for your stock intake...it doesnt sound bad, has the deep throaty sound, but i kinda noticed that my car is a lil sluggish now. someone said on another thread a while ago that you lose what lil torque we have. i dont know if its just me but i feel my car eats up the gas faster. or it can be just cause i give it a lil more gas so i can hear it.

In "Member's Rides" there are only 3 HX owner's. That is a filtered search for manual transaxles. Not too many HX member's, ohwell.

Hey fellow HX owners,

If any of you are members of my HX group (http://groups.yahoo.com/group/hondacivichxcvt) then please post your experiences with modding HX's on that site too. I'm trying to create a resource for HX owners. It seems that people with other trim levels don't always have the right information to help us out with the differences (e.g., lean burn system) with our trim level. There are currently 37 members in the HX club so I'm sure there is someone there that can help people who haven't joined yet. I'm particularly interested in mods to a 2k1 HX CVT, so any experience anyone has with that would be totally useful to me.

Thanks!

EDIT: By the way, I don't come by 7thGenCivic.com all that often (a couple times a week). It's better to email me if you need to ask me a question.

Hmm, I'll have to fix that. If my car isn't up there then I'll add it right after I finish this post.

EDIT: I see 6 HX rides in the "Member Rides" section. Mine was already up there.

I have been spending all my money on my Auto-X race car, so I have not done any bolt-on parts to the HX yet, I still need to order a camber kit too, My "race springs have been sitting in my room since May. I like the deal that "AIE" had on the Neuspeed springs so I had to buy them. But yeah after the camber kit/spring install, I am going to get an Injen CAI and a HKS rear section exhaust. My race car is going to have to be happy how it is for now till next season.
