Finally Installed My Hood Pins
They turned out really good. The placement is perfect IMO and they look really nice. Better than those ricey things you see import stores selling anyways. I got mine from stockcarproducts.com; the exact link is here: Clickity click. The 4" long pins were the ones that fit the best. The 3" long ones fit too, but the threading goes up too high and rubs against the CF hole I made. I mounted them with washers and rubber washers and nuts. I didn't drill any holes in my frame. I simply took out the stock rubber stanchions by unscrewing them. Then I just bought the appropriate hardware to make it all work. All I need to fix now is to get nuts that are smaller in height so that I can adjust the hood pins more and get a really tight fit.

Allright, I updated the pictures. You can see where I located the pin now. You can also see that I had to drill through two layers of the CF hood. The first layer is kinda rough, so I think I'll buy a grommet and fit one on there to mask the rough edges. That should look nice.
Do you think it would be possible to mount them closer in, right above the outside edges of the grill? And do you think that by using pins you could eliminate the need for and weight of the stock hood latch? Thanks.

Actually, hmm... I guess you don't have to drill the metal there either. There's a couple of those rubber adjusting thingies there too. Just screw them out. They're kinda in betwean the grill and the headlights though, so I guess they're pushed out more to the sides than they are in the picture you showed me. I just put mine where I have them so that I could push the hood down for a better fit on the edges. Oh yeah, I just installed a set of those rubber grommets you use in house switch panels. Works really well and finishes things off nicely. No more frayed edge.

Easy enough I guess, but I can put a DIY up, sure...
At least a DIY with the pictures I have now. I'll take more later too...
I'll post it in the Tech Stuff section.
Edit: Done. View it here: DIY: Hood Pins

Nope. Rice sucks!
I'll have one more pic of the rubber grommet a little later too for the curious.
