1986 Stock Sedan
What's up everyone!
I've got a 1986 Civic Sedan in white, totally stock, and the most basic possible trim level (although I did add the oem passenger side mirror because I found one in good shape at a junk yard).
While I've had fun driving around the stock civic for about a year, I think it's time I start considering modifications. I'm not talking about anything major like an engine swap (yet), but I do want to try to improve the performance of my little sedan.
Although, I'm almost certainly not going to be doing any racing, I do like the sleeper design philosophy of maintaining the stock body exterior, while focusing primarily on performance modifications inside and under the hood. Not so much for the unexpected flex, but mainly just because I love the boxy 80s style of the car and don't want to compromise that.
I'm here looking for advice on where to start and to see if anyone else has experience modifying their 3rd gen sedan.
I'm currently researching street performance upgrades. I'm not trying to turn it into a track car, but I do want to push the performance on the road as much as possible.
Thinking I should start basic with things like suspension, wheels, and tires.
Any information/advice is much appreciated! Thank you very much!

It also needs paint because the original has a lot of small chips exposing bare metal. I'm going to keep it the original white though.
I'm going to try to start parking it in the garage, but it's currently housing a motorcycle and misc. storage that isn't mine.
