Drive it first. Maintain it well. Mod where you see fit if need be. If you decide to mod, do lots of research first.

I am driving it full time. Winter tires are horrifyingly expensive, but it drives awesome. TONNS OF POWER!!!!

Buy a set of 16'' steelies. Premium tires (Nokian, for instance) won't run you for more than 200$ each.

16" rims are too small for the FK8. 18's at a minimum to clear the brakes. I don't feel like searching too hard, but my quick google search didn't yield very much in the way of 18" steelies with a 5x120 bolt pattern

Congrats.! Leatherman on Your New Civic Type R red is one of my Fav"s
Only future mods for extra power i would sereously consider doing for a little more added power is getting a ECM re-flash using Only HondaData"s re-flash. it will allow you to turn up the Factory tuned settings that are currently tuned for fuel effiecency and
emmisions to where You can safely turn them up from stock. to things like stock 3psi of turbo boost to 6 psi turbo boost and many other parameteres of moding & adjustments can be safely done & found . looks great.!
