Hey, recently bought a 2003 civic coupe. This happens to be my second civic (my previous was a red 97 coupe).
A little history: bought my first car (Civic DX), more on impulse, since it was set up for racing. It was set up with heavy duty engine mounts, straight piped, Hedman Chikara Header, AEM SRI with dryflow filter and a Venom VCN nitrous system. I also suspect he made some other mods like an advance timing on the timing belt along with other little things I don't remember. Had to remove the header and put the stock header/cat to pass emissions and put a muffler. It also needed new tires so I figured I'd give it a new look with new tires so bought a set of 17's (grey, five double spoke with chrome lip). Also replaced the boot with red stitching, eBay front grill and some eBay tint I put on myself which actually held up nicely.
Then my car was stolen and I lost all drive to continue modding my car. At least they only stole my rims and intake and messed up the driver side fender. Bought an eBay SRI and I found a fender on craigslist and talked him down to $25 and painted it myself. Didn't do a good job since the end product had more of a matte finish bit the paint for the most part matched the car. Rode on steelies for a while until I found a deal on hx rims. Wasn't a fan of the 14" but loved the increase in my MPG. It did about 32 city and 36-38 highway. And this is how it looked before I sold it for the low price of $1300.
My em2 however is bone stock except for the Sony Xplod.
I do have plans of modding it a bit but mostly trying to keep the MPG's high considering it's my DD and seems to be getting 32 city and 43 highway. I more than likely let a good deal on some RPF1's go but I'm wasn't too into them. Any ideas on any lightweight rims? Preferably either 15's or 16's.

UPDATE: I've had the check engine light come on a few times and it has gone away on its own. Now it just stayed on and the code I got from Autozone was a P0420. From the symptoms I've noticed is the lack of umph that my previous car did have. I'm thinking it might be a faulty cat (although I don't hear any debris inside the muffler) rather than the O2 sensors though I'll check them soon.
In other news, I scored on a K&N Typhoon SRI and SRS catback for $140. I think I got a good deal and I checked out a video of the exhaust and seems to sound really good.
I do plan on painting the intake or else I think it would look extra rice.
Need to clean it before I put it on. Any ideas on where to get some gaskets?

Love getting new stuff for my car. I just got a front grill in the mail and a couple days ago, on craigslist I found a set of Kosei K1 TS 15x7, +38. I really liked the 6UL but couldn't pass these up. Sadly they'll stay in their boxes for a while until I have more funds for some paint and tires.
Intend on getting original paint to paint match this grill. Also want to put the honda emblem on it. Will it stay if I applied some super glue or loctite?
Needs a little clean up.
I thought it was perhaps a bit ironic the guy had them packed up in some 6UL boxes. Lol xD
