CivicEM1Si's Build Thread
CivicEM1Si's Build Thread
Hey guys, I guess this is my noob post
.
Name : Jake
Location : Nebraska
Car : 2000 Honda Civic Si
Motor : B18b1
Suspension : Skunk2 Pro-s coilovers
Wheels : Rota Slipstreams 16x7 +35
Other Forums : EM1Crew, ClubCivic, and StarCityRacing
I bought this car June '11 in Omaha Nebraska with a full turbo kit that didn't last very long. It lasted maybe 2 months until I was going 60 and still can't find out what happened. Recently, i've wanted to get an EM2, but I've been through hell and back with this car, and possibly more. Before anyone asks, the car has a b18b1 because they guy before me had a boosted GSR, and needed something to replace that. Here's a timeline of my car essentially.
When I bought it, it had gold slips, and a golden kevlar hood.

Hope you guys enjoy. I'm looking forward to seeing some feedback from alot of people, so post away!

Welcome to the forums
Nice car, I like what you did to fix the broken clip on the bumper haha.
Good job fixing in back to stock-like look
But those slips are screaming rice IMO.
Enjoy your stay on the forums.

Re: CivicEM1Si's Build Thread
glaaad you got rid of the front lip.
me thinks you could adjust the hood - the back is slightly rised, maybe to accomodate turbo?
don't get an 01+, you will be loosing a great amount of better design suspension in the front... and gaining a huge amount of understeer...
maybe lower insurance, since no one wants to steal an 01+ for the same reasons...

Agreed actually...
I only recommend the EM2 if you want a super reliable daily driver and you're not afraid to get laughed at by every dimwitted Mustang and Camaro owner that pulls up next to you.
