My First Build.

I see a lot of people do these i figured id try one out. My names Nick. I'm 16 and i'm from eastern PA. I have been working at Dunkin Donuts since i was 13.

I was into racing quads when i decided i wanted to have a nice car. I went on craigslist and started searching.

"]

I finally found something i liked.

So i called this kid, Went for a ride, and after a little negotiation i ended up trading my quad and 1800 cash for this lovely piece.

http://

So that night when i got it home i decided to take it for a little ride. after about ten minutes of driving it she dies. Blew the timing belt.

Replaced the belt, water pump, and tensioner. After that i had nothing but overheating problems. First thing i did was check the oil for water, It was clean. Went on to changing the thermostat, radiator cap, then the radiator. It was still over heating. Decided to check oil again. Looked like what i put in my cereal in the morning.

So i decided id bring it to my votech class to swap out the head gasket. Back on the trailer it went.

Got it there and started tearing the head off.

Head came off and checked it for warpage. Unfortunately it was. It also had some scortches in #3 cylinder. Decided id take it apart and hone them out.

After pulling the motor out and taking the trans off one of my fellow Honda friends says "i thought you said this had a 6 puck clutch in it". It only had a 4. I looked back and the papers from craigslist and the kid told me it did. Decided to look into the car a little more. On top of the pistons was stamped PR4.

The kid i bought it from told me the motor was completely built with CP pistons, eagle crank, eagle rods, and all the other goodies. Pulled the whole motor apart and absolutely stock.

A few tears later I Found out i can sue the kid and get money back. (I'm in the process of doing this now.) I decided id build it myself. The right way. This is where my build starts. A few days later, after finding this out, Ohio Technical College sent Tom Banks to our votech class for an airbrushing demonstration. Because my car was in the shop and i had no clear coat on my car i got lucky.

I ended up getting a 1000 dollar paint job for free.

My blocks currently sent out to be bored, honed, and degreased. My heads with it waiting to be shaved. I ordered Wiseco pistons, eagle rods, eagle crank, acl bearing, and ARP head studs.

Now, i'm waiting for these parts to come in and my block to come back. i'm hopping to have her back together in 3 weeks before winter comes and she has to go away. I'll keep posted on the rest of my build. Any suggestions on what color i should paint her?

Re: My First Build.

New water temp gauge and gauge pillar came in, gives me something to do while waiting for motor.

My friend started doing my interior. I'm doing this blue for the pillars and a plaid for the head liner.

Re: My First Build.

if you sue won't they just refund you money and return the car to the original owner? now you're moding it so the original owner will get all your mods if you go through the courts.

Not in the states.

You could sue for every last penny they said was "Supposed" to be on the car.
