I just find it a lot cleaner to have it shaved off, i mean you'll be letting old timers know you have a Si, but anyone who knows about vics, see the moonroof should know its a Canadian SI/US EX

I kinda figured it was pointless, and it looked a lot better clean

My white LEDs came in today. My center map light is now white, and so is my trunk light! Now i'm waiting for the red ones to come in

Will take pics tonight when it's dark so you can see the difference because my side map lights are still yellow right now. I'm going on a trip this weekend and i'm staying at my friends house tonight, but i'm sure he'll let me use his computer :P

The map lights i wanted to be red because my cluster is red / white lol. I just want to see how it looks really, if it's not great i'll put it back to normal (besides i never really use the side lights). Waiting till it gets darker to decide lol

I need to order a festoon light now for the back... there's also a white one in the trunk that i haven't taken a picture of yet

eBay is your friend! I got them for like $1.50, comes with two. But make sure you get the right ones, u don't want to order them then find out it's the wrong size

Yeah i'll change them eventually, but i never use my side lights and wanted something different so i keep them on at night when i'm driving just for looks

maybe I need to get you a picture, it is not like the reverse light slot at all. Almost like a mini fluorescent bulb (the long tubes). Would you be able to throw up a picture of yours??

you must have the lx. not as many choices but if you want white, the luxer1 leds are the best for that style. check ebay. i have the long tube ones in the rear dome and 194 in the front. perfect match.

dont let the price scare you, they should last forever made in japan and are uber bright. there are 2 in a pack.

I have a DX, im sure i can rig the LEDs to work, when i twist them in the slot I can make contact and have it light up. So maybe I will try something creative. Thanks for the links, I am checking those out now.


@gearbox, do you know what size I need for my DOME light? It is a bigger bulb.
