Thats incredible, I can't express in words how much I love first gen civics!
Welcome to the forum, although we don't have many first gen owners it's great to have and I'm sure anyone capable to performing a restoration of that caliber could contribute to many threads.
Wow. Just wow I am blown away. It's beautiful man. Saw one of these out in San Diego once, except it was all original. Didn't look as good as this haha
I love the classics, your civic is incredible. Those rims suit that car so well. You ever been to the Japan Classic Car Show in Long Beach? Its amazing, first gens everywhere

I always see pictures of it but unfortunately im on the very east coast.
Whoa! That's the nicest antique civic I've seen! I see the Virginia Antique plates and I know of a first generation civic at a local mechanic shop but it doesn't look anywhere as nice as that!!! I don't know if the shop owns it or not but it's in pretty bad shape. I think the owner might have sold it to them, and I know they had a very hard time finding the tires in the original size?
its nice my moms boyfriend had one it was the same color but not as nice also there weren't called civics there were called cvcc's its probably the same thing though
My wife had a 77 Civic that we kept for 4 or 5 yrs then sold it to a friend. 4 speed non CVCC engine.
The CVCC was an engine option on the Civic, not a separate model. The CVCC was a 3 valve per cyl engine, with a rich / lean single carb that put a rich mixture around the plug. and a leaner one in the rest of the chamber.
Honda claimed they didn't need EGR or a Cat when everyone else came out with them in the mid 70's
That is 1 beauty of a Civic, brought back a lot of good memories Ours would get close to 38-40 mpg on the highway with 4 speed, no Overdrive.
Seeing this really brought back some great memories for me...AWESOME restoration...my parents bought a medium blue one that had the black stripe across the sides that said CIVIC in them new in 1977...we rode that baby all the way from here in SW Virginia to FL and back (of course with NO ac lol) I was young and small enuf then I could lay across the back seat and sleep with room to spare...love this car!!!
