New Year, New Civic
I just bought a beautiful 2002 Civic Si (HB of course). Pretty much built with a CAI and not-ricey catback. Black paint...
Only problem is, the spoiler is mis-shapen and needs paint/clearcoat. And it needs new tires...
Future mod seems limited to K20A2 heads. Do I need a 6-speed trans with that?

Welcome and very nice pic up man. I have an 02 si and have had it for like 5 yrs and I still love it. The ep3 is a great car all round and has alot of potential.
Alittle advise on the k20a2 head on the a3. It really is not a good idea cause of the fact that the k20a2 block is built for the a2 head and the k20a2 head was made for the higher compression that is in the k20a2 block. It would be best just to swap the hole k20a2 into the ep3. Though you could read up on the vtec killer setup which consists of the a2 head parts in the a3 head.
But welcome and ephatch.com has alot of info on the 02-05 civic si's so you should go check it out.

02civicsi: thanks for the tips on the k20a3. I've also heard of K24xx swaps. But I don't know much about them...
Tragedy: I love the interior. The previous owner put some nice cf trim on there. And obviously took good care of it. I mean, the car came with a sunvisor, so I'm trying to use it religiously.

If you ever need to know anything bout the 02-05 si just let me know and I will see what I can do. I mostly know almost everything about them so far though I have some things to learn. And ya the k24 swaps are very possible in the ep3 and they are very easy. If you want to know bout the k24 swaps just ask cause I have been doing my research on them cause I am wanting to do the swap in a couple of months.
. I didn't like that car at first, but it has seriously grown on me.
