First Car - First Civic
First Car - First Civic
Not quite my first car, but the first car that I bought. Before my Civic, I had a nice '95 Wrangler that I er.. blew the engine on.
I've been around the forums for a while just reading posts, and now I figured I'd get more involved around here.
A few months ago, I bought a decent shaped '98 Civic DX Coupe. (I'm not a big fan of hatches) It's pretty flawless with the exception of a single rust spot, a few minor dings, and a small crack in the bumper. Other than getting ripped off on the price, it's just a work in progress. Just doing my research now and deciding what to do first. I/H/E isn't an option... Swapping the engine out whenever I decide what to toss in.
As we speak, I'm waiting for my drill to charge so I can finish cleaning my headlight lenses. I have to say, 3M's Lens Cleaner Kit works great. Haven't polished one of the lenses yet, but it is a very NOTICEABLE difference. Due to the lighting, the pictures don't really show enough.
Before the questions get asked, NO I did not paint my hubcaps black. They were black when I got them... Along with the Pepboys air intake that isn't even clamped right, and no hoses are plugged into.

i like it, looks good. DX eh but if your going to do a B, K, or H swap then sweet. Anyways id pick up a fujita or aem short ram to replace the pepboys intake and just hold out til you decide what you want to do.
+1 for the thought of the 3M lens cleaner

If you couldn't notice, my driver side window is really screwed up. Regulators broken on the back where the glass screws in. Ordered a new one today.

Looks good, it will look even better once you wash it, but I'm sure the weather is still wintery in jersey. Welcome to the forum!
btw, where in jersey- are you around the trenton or rosell park area?

I'm about 30mins from Trenton and about an hour from Rosell Park

Lol yeah, it is. It's a little screwed up. The regulator bracket in the back is broken. Ordered a new one yesterday. Honda wanted 155 for it? I ended up getting it for 35 from an autoparts affiliate.
