So as I've reported recently, I totaled my EM2 and just picked up a 2003 Ford Focus SVT ZX5
Well, with the money that I have left (I received 4.5k from the insurance company after the pay off- and only put 1.5 down for the car) I am on the hunt for a project car. I origionally was thinking about doing another AWD stroker 2g Eclipse Spyder, but then am still bit by the honda bug. I have a LOT of parts for a K-Swap sitting around my garage. Tranny, subframe, harness, etc. So I started looking around for either a roller or something that was mechanically gone.... but I found this BEAST on xceedspeed's for sale section.
I've kind of ballparked that it would take at least 3 grand to get the car into decent OEM condition with new front\rear bumper, headlights, seats, replaced interior, fixed wiring, and just general cosmetic TLC.
The kid only wants 3 grand for it, and I think I might be able to talk him into a deal at 2.5k...
Any opinions? Anyone got some stock interior pieces to sell? Am I insane for even considering it?

The kid is obviously mislead. Yea 2.5K sounds very decent, then u can take off all that garbage and sell it to local ricers

I wud say, b4 buying this, try hitting some junkyards in ur area and look for a totaled 01-03 Civic in which u can part out the interior from, take a test drive to see if this motor will last u good. Anything over 2.5K is overpriced.

you could just ride around with a stripped interior . if your planning on the k-swap, you might as well just look for a shell on honda-tech. i've seen EG shells go for $300-400 on there. you're going to replace anything anyways, so you might as well start with something that doenst have all that crap on it and costs way less.
