Re: Painted part of the door panel

its gonna start chipping after a few weeks i did it 2 then it started fading so i sanded it all down and used actually car paint and clear coated it and its been on there 7 months no chipping. done my door panels, center console, rear quarter panels, climate panel, door sills, and the air vents.

Re: Painted part of the door panel

it will eventually go bad. Thats why i decided to swap to the actual black interior from a wrecked civic. Cost me 450 for everything after i sold some of my tan interior pieces. Totally worth it, in my opinion.

sounds rice... But anyways the paint he used wont chip. You probably used some cheapo paint and probably didnt do prep work correctly thats why yours chipped. Im pretty sure the stuff he used was the same stuff I used on my dash. I flew a rc heli into the dash sitting in my room and it still didnt chip. The paint is very durable.

Whatever comes out of it, I hope a gloss is not applied. Glossy/shiny interiors give me the *******.

I know, I was just saying in case it fades and you think about clear coat/gloss. I like the flat black better.

Re: Painted part of the door panel

The flat look is a lot better for interiors as it's less distracting
