This is a photo album of what the car looked like when i got it and what it looked like afterwards. basically we took 2 cars and did a cut and shut job.
since the back of the red was already wrecked we took the back of a black civ and placed it on. everythings came out very good to me!!

omg that's insane . . . aren't you afraid that one day while driving your car it will split? is that even safe what they did? i personally would have just bought a civic of that gen instead of doing all that work. i guess that's why i suck LOL!!!
my $.02 . .. don't put back the side guard/molding! have shaved. i bet that would look clean as hell
looks good though - cool project - wish i had the time and money to do that kind of stuff. good luck!!!!

I'd be terrified to even drive that thing. That is how they make all those stretch limos though so I am sure there is a technique that makes it safe and hence, legal.

You're 19. Where did you learn to do this at such a young age? And unless you did this when you were 12, how could you not remember what method you used? I'm guessing this is a really long project with some thorough research?

He'll be okay. Besides, its a fwd car. He can just keep on driving like nothing is missing. Consider loosing the back half of the car as the ultimate weight reduction.
The car looks good. Do you have any more pictures of the actual connection? the the seems and stuff. I'm interested in how you gave the car its rigidity back.

looks like you did a good job man. i've been exposed to extreme body and mechanical work to cars my entire life so this is no surprise to me to see something like this. and to people freaking out about the car splitting apart, it's really not that big of a deal, and it won't split if everything was done correctly. my dads friend actually just did the same exact thing to an eg! pretty much exactly the same length of the back half too.

you must have some serious time on your hands!, good job though. I really am curious too if it is completely legal, or if insurance is somehow different for you. It looks like a great way to save a few bucks, but i cant imagine how long this project took you.
