^^^ In ref to the HP thing Don. Don't they free up HP from the lighter rotating mass allowing you to transfer more ponies to the ground (theoretically, tire dependent though?)?

a light-weight flywheel DOES add horsepower, but does NOT add torque. Horsepower is a measurement of torque VS time.
Removing rotating weight from the flywheel decreass the time required to do the same amount of work: more horsepower. Or to look at it another way, you can do more work in the same amount of time.
but the main advantage of a lighter flywheel is quicker shifts and less stress on the drive train
It does make launching the car more difficult though, because you don't have as much stored mass that a heavy flywheel has. A heavy flywheel really helps get the car moving from a dead stop

i dont dissagree at all to that post above but...
the way it was explaned to me was... Lests say it takes 10HP to get your car to 10 MPH, with a lightened flywheel it may only need 7HP of the 10HP that it takes to get to 10MPH... Giving the illition that its going faster or quicker.
and by the time you get to 50MPH in 4th gear you have "used" less HP then would have originally been used with a stock flywheel. But you still have the "same" HP readings on a dyno...
thats how it was explaned to me anyway.

But once you add the Fidanza sticker you get an extra 5 HP AND 5 torque. Normally it's only 3HP, but since you actually have the part that the sticker advertises, it's 5 + 5.
