retro teasers...
Extra headlights came today so this project is gonna get rolling. Took the headlights apart and threw in the front half of the projector to see how it's gonna fit and took some pix. The headlights will most likely be blacked out as well. Will update with pix as the retro progresses and may do a diy writeup if all goes well. Enjoy!

Looks good so far. Damn those fx's are a tight fit. Are you going to do a lense swap on them. The output will be so much better if you swap them out with a tsx clear lense. Good luck with the project.

Re: retro teasers...

heres some of the mounting equipment. Hoping to make it fully adjustable <V>^ and rotational. For a shroud I'm using a ace pipe flange seen in first post and either pvc pipe reducer or stove element thing.
as far as the lens swap goes I'll try a spacer for the fx clear lens thats on there and decide what to do from there, funds are short and lenses aren't cheap

Re: retro teasers...
good choice for mounting brackets...fully adjustable projectors...
2 bracket on each bottom of the FX nice...
i am keeping the FX lenses as well...other lenses are too expensive...

Re: retro teasers...
i was planning to just use the stock adjusters for horizontal and vertical. so i just need to get the rotation correct.

Re: retro teasers...
This is my first retro so progress has been slow. Working on one side and figuring things out along the way. Heres what I've done so far:
Painted the headlights

Only needed to enlarge the hole a tiny bit. It gets super dusty.

Cut down the projectors a little bit. Then had to figure out a way to mount the brackets to the projectors without interfering with the bixenon solenoid. Ditched the store bought brackets and made my own

Bracket attached. L & R adjusters

Test fit plenty of room. Theres about 3/4 inch space from the headlight lens to the closest part of the projector

Re: retro teasers...
plz dont use the stove cover, it looks so bad esp since it cant be cut straight. it will look bad, youll see when you do it. there are plenty of nice shroud, im using some from a big benz, it doesnt fully fill the space in the back, but it covers enough to look decent.
Re: retro teasers...
DAMN looks nice.... Im gonna do the same retrofit, the projector is coming in sometime next week. i really like the way you have it set us so you can adjust L/R, but how about the Up/Down adjustments? Also where did you get those springs for the L brackets, or did it come in a set? PM please, I need to get all the help I can!!! THANKS!!!
