We used Night Shade to tint my lights it turned out REALLY good! When using it instead of tint you can choose how dark to go! If its not dark enough the first time then put another coat on, thats what we did!

I actually didnt use any clear coat, i had forgotten to buy when i was buying the black paint and after i was done spraying them they didnt look bad with out it at all, i was really pissed when i realized i had forgotten the clear coat but honestly everyone really likes how it came out without the clear coat so now im not even sure i want to go over it with the clear coat now. But i was goin to go with some type of acrylic paint i dont really know which brand would be better though sorry. ill let u know if i do go ahead and do it this weekend.

we used an acrylic clear on my tails, dont remember the brand though.
First we cleaned the lights, then scuffed them up so the paint would stick. Then we used the Night shade transparent black paint to paint them. Applied that untill i got them as dark as i wanted. Then after it dried, we pur a few coats of clear on it. Then after he clear dried we used rubbing compound on them and waxed them. I LOVE them. Mine are kinda dark tho, harder to see the brake lights during the day but they look GREAT!!! Hopes this helps!
