Re: Got me a Seibon Hood
Yep, that's the going price for them. You can get those or the VIS from Showstoppers for $425. But, the thing with both of those, Seibon takes the extra step and put an extra coat on theirs to protect it from UV and it doesn't fade. VIS has been know for their hoods fading. Def good choice with Seibon, that's the one i have. Fitment is great, and you don't need hood pins with the seibon.

car looks great. not really a fan of the lugs tho. they just seem to stand out more than lug nuts generally should...esp since theres no other blue on your car. i really like that hood. nice oe style without all those crazy vents and other bull. good find!

ya this is the good brand, with a strong hood latch. just remember to keep it nice and waxed all the time and it should last

Re: Got me a Seibon Hood
i actually had a shop in Queens, NY order it from Seibon, so i paid no shipping, and i just picked it up, only a half hour drive anyway. I did have to wait about a month and a half due to them being backordered, first Seibon sent a a wrong hood which was an SI hood, so Denny at TechImports took care of it no problem, great customer service, he kept constant communication, im very pleased.
As for the windshield wiper nozzles, they did come pre punched, but were way to small, you need to take a dremel and a very small sand grinding bit and enlarge the holes about 1/4 inch, then they fit like glove.
The blue lugs are kind of the eye catcher, id figured if i got the same exact color lugs, it wouldnt grab attention to the wheels, i've got some blue in the engine bay so when the hoods up, it goes well

Re: Got me a Seibon Hood
rs front lip, oem sideskirts and oem rear lip, rs front lip you can find on ebay, or if you want you can get one from JDMshit.com or streetstyler.com, i dont recommend streetstyler though, very shady, as for the other oem parts, got them from handaaccessories.com, they are a bit expensive, but they come painted from the factory which saves you the headache.
For anyone with a CF hood, any tips on closing the hood, i tried to close it, not slam it, and it wouldnt close, the only way it seems to close is if you slam it, any tips ?
Who keep fixing your computer cause you watch too much gay ****, and if it wasnt for me fixing it, you wouldnt be able to post so damn much

Re: Got me a Seibon Hood
i've actually bought the OEM foglight kit, but i wanted them JDM yellow, and the lamin-x kept burning due to the heat of the bulbs, so i just bought the ebay kit, i didnt even want the kit, i just wanted the fog housing, and i just swapped them out, the harness is garbage.
Believe it or not, but the harness is actaully a little better then most people think. I sat there for days looking at thinking I had to pick up the OEM bog light harness. Then I had my friend look at it and he was like, this doesnt look like the right harness either. Then a few days later he calls me up and I come over, we take off my bumper and he digs out this wire thats right under the passanger headlight, has a brown connector- was covered up in a few years of road debris. The wire (blue with a red stripe) is allready brought through the firewall and extends somewhere right around the cig lighter, its taped to one of the groups of cables back there. I think we foudn this out through the OEM fog light instructions. Most people with ebay fogs dont read the OEM instructions and just wire them up stright through the firewall and dont even use the connector under the passanger headlight. Wow, this post is getting long... anyways, from inside we modified the wire it came with to use an aftermarket switch. Worked pretty good in all. I taped the connections up so they wouldnt come apart and I wouldnt have to take apart the center console again, or take off the bumper and find the short.
blah blah blah.
VERY nice hood. Your grill looks carbon too, or is it just painted gray? Hmm, very nice over all, the fogs actually set it off real nicely and tie in with the blue lugs- at certain angles.
