well, ive been working like a trojan the last few weeks and decided to spend a little cash. over the past week or so ive been ordering some stuff from dezod and ebay. i grabbed a new megan racing rear camber kit, ingalls stiffy, and 3 aem oiled air filters since they were being discontinued.
still not feeling satisfied, i grabbed the green and headed out the door.
i came across this beatiful 96 hatch i thought my wife would like. $4,500 later, she was ours. while i was at it i picked up a rather worn out jdm h22a, trans, and ecu. will have pics next week. i wasnt feeling the previous owners choice in wheels, so im currently on the hunt for a new set. a trip over to password jdm yielded quite a few new additions for the hatch.
and on the 7th day, he rested...

ive been toying with the idea of a k swap. ive bought a few k20's and k24's and always end up selling them. ive got a ton of projects going on. next time i go to the auction i might pick up a k equipped vehicle and follow through with the swap.

Nice stuff man. I will be doing similar things in a couple weeks when I get home. It kind of makes me sick that the money I will be spending on my turbo setup is what your 96 hatch cost!

there will be tons more upgrades to both cars in the near future. i wanted a strut bar for my em2 but im deciding what to do with the bracket for the stiffy since i have stock struts. studs arent very long. the hatch will be dropped, swapped, and get a full jdm makeover inside and out.

Yeah, I see my strut bar coming off too when I install my Ingalls stiffy. I haven't figured out quite what to do yet as I don't want to lose the strut bar. Post some more pics so I can make you a sig that you'll actually use!
For solderboi, check my terbow shopping list thread for what I'm doing. Gotta love TDYs to be able to pay for this kind of thing...

RHD isnt as hard as people make it out to be. a friend of mine has done 4 of them in the past 3 months, one was in a 97 coupe with a b16 swap. its fun to drive. it takes alittle bit to get used to but its fun none the less. i will say that my teg with the STOCK b20b swap will waste it. no chance in hell it would come close as it sits. i would opt for a b20/vtec or k swap on the ek as well

Yeah, I just hate shifting with my left hand. First time I drove in the UK was on rental with a 5spd. Thank god they didn't move the pedals around too!

the goal of the hatch isnt to be a 1000 hp monster. my wife is driving this thing. its just gonna be a jdm ek clone. if i can get ahold of a ek front clip with the original b16, i can be that much closer to having a almost perfect ek clone.
