even though it does fit, try it out and make sure that there are no leaks just to be sure. I'd hate to hear you in a few days sayin that your ish overheated.

Re: koyo aluminum radiator

Bump, because I looked at this thread before shopping and the info is bad.

Both the CRX and 240sx caps are 13 psi caps. You need a 16 psi cap for this car. I found one at Advance Auto Parts. Its made by Stant, part number 11233. Fits like a charm, it was $7 and change.

A 13lb cap will push the boiling point of the coolant to 251 degrees dude, which is more than youll need, and if your temperature is 251 degrees, something is wrong with your cooling system. But if your think its absolutly needed to have the 16lb cap than good for you

PS, when i had my koyo installed i NEVER seen the temps get past 217 and that was when i was REALLY pushing it on a 100 degree day.In the winter i never saw engine temperatures past 195 ---- Get your facts strait before you bump theads saying "this info is bad"

For those that dont know......

Water boils at 212 d.
1 lb of pressure raises the boiling point 3 degrees

So a 13lb cap will relieve pressure at 251 degrees
a 16lb cap will relieve pressure at 260 degrees

As you can see its a HUGE difference

Re: koyo aluminum radiator

Perhaps you would have preferred "inaccurate", "not entirely correct", "wrong" or any other synonym for bad. It isnt the correct cap. Its a sub-$10 part thats readily available, why tell people that wrong part is the right one to get?
Hot surfaces will surface boil BEFORE the average temperature of the water reaches a boil. So I will take my 9 degree safety net.
You wanna use the low pressure cap, fine, but the info is inaccurate, and I corrected it with the right part thats needed to make they system work as its intended.

The Koyo rad on the Hondas does require a different cap than OE.
