Would it be considered "ricing" out my whip if I painted the rear H emblem, the civic emblem and the EX emblem black. I don't have a front H emblem cuz I have an rs grille and just left the emblems off. Just let me know what ya think....

or you could just take off the easy ones in the back like the civic emblem and the ex emblem with some fishing line and goo gone or any adhesive remover then paint the H black cause that leaves two white plastic pieces behind when you take it off
I don't think it's ricing it out... maybe because I plan on doing the same thing though. Only I plan on removing the two emblems on the back as somebody else stated. I'm also going to a local place that'll match factory paint. Gonna paint the rear and front H with factory paint. I don't think I'm in the wrong with an idea like that... any objectors?
Re: Black Emblems...
I am going to be painting mine with the Duplicolor Metalcast Smoke as I saw they did in the 8thgen forum.
It will give it a "tinted" black chrome look. I'll post pics when I am done.
The only badge I have left on the rear is the H. I should be able to unscrew it, paint it and then reinstall it right?

why are you even worried if others will think if that is rice or not? If you think it looks good, then go for it! It may not adhere to other people's preferences, but hey, it's your car.
