ok here is a pic of my car, the guy before me put a type r badge on the back (dont ask me why) and it is held on the car with what seems to be an adhesive, not very strong. i know goo gone would do the trick but i went to pep boys, advanced auto parts, autozone, and walmart and nobody had it. so my question is would wd 40 be safe to use?

Rep Power: 0 wd 40 is ok, I would recommend you to use a heat gun or blower to heat the adhesive first, then use the tooth floss to take off the badge, then use wd 40 to get the rest of the adhesive off.

Rep Power: 0 what he said, when using the wd40 to remove the sticky residue make sure not to leave it on too long and completly clean it off, it has pertoleum and that eats paint.

Rep Power: 224 I've discovered that the best thing to use to get that adhesive off is hand cleaner, like the white stuff you buy at auto parts stores. Just use a heat gun or blow dryer, then take the badge off, then put some of that hand cleaner on it and let it sit for a bit, rub at it with your fingers, and just keep doing it until it's gone.

Rep Power: 450 yea, heat it up with a hairdryer or heat gun than use some fishing line or dental floss to get the badge off, than use a little bit of wd-40 to get the excess goo off....dont leave it on there too long

Rep Power: 227 Hmmm makes me want to debadge my stuff...tempting...
I hate when people at school talk to me(and you know they know nothing about cars) and are like "Your car is a Civic right? It's really nice, I want one too." I get that crap a lot and I just want to be like, "Shut up! Only reason you know it's a civic is because my cars too fuc*in slow to get out the parking lot so you can read my rear. And if you get the same civic as me, I'll shank your b**ch azz foo!!!!!" :] Only Mag Met civic at school. Reppin yo!

Rep Power: 265 I'm ripping my civic emblem off once it warms up again and I have time. The cheap *** DX doesn't come with a DX badge, so that's one less thing I have to take off. Just make sure you save the stock emblems, and put them back on when you get ready to sell. I've read on here that it hurts the value of the car if you leave them off, 'cause they think it was crashed and repainted or something.
