Question about a 95 CX

So I just bought a 1995 Honda Civic CX 3d. Looking up engine info online I understand that CXs supposedly came with 8 valve 70 horsepower engines (D15B8). Strange thing is that all the cars I looked at, and subsequently the one I bought, had 16 valve 102 horsepower engines (D15B7). What confuses me is that every time I look up info on the CX I get the stats for the D15B8, but what ends up being in the car is the D15B7. Is anyone able to shed some light on this for me? The cars are Canadian if that makes a difference.

You will have better luck at honda-tech.com. This place is mostly 7thgeners disguised as all years of civics forum.
