Alternators?

Hey guys what up? Question for you, i have been trying to find a high output alternator for my 2004 honda civic EX, do you guys have any suggestions on which one to get i have been looking at but can't find any for a civic, that is above a 70 amp, i am looking for like a 150-200 any sugguestions?

Ebay has them for $329 or you can go to your mechanic and have your current alternator wound up to the amps you want. There's also a member here by the name "megahurtz" that sells high output alternators for our cars.

well i ordered a Ohio Generator HO alternator from a local sound shop...at cost! i help them out at my job...but i got mines fo' aboutt $400 or so. 162 cold cranking amps... you need to upgrade the power and ground wires to not throw a battery recharge light.

I have never gotten one from Megahurtz, but I'll have to suggest you use him to support a fellow member of the forum!

I used to have an Ohio Generator. I really liked it but I swapped it out for a Stinger. The only reason I swapped it out was because my boss (I work at a stereo shop) wanted me to have a Stinger instead.. to help "promote" our products. But anyways, now I have a 180 amp CCA alternator. Lifetime warranty. No complaints here.

legacy..did you upgrade the power and ground wires on your alternator?

call megahurtz robert wound me a 200a alt. and bolts right in. he was very thourough and showed me every peice that went into my alt build. very nice knowing how big the bearing is in the and the size of windings ect... top notch and 6 months warranty!!!!!!!!!!! excellent serivce and a hell of a good product.
