Front Emblem Removal?

so im planning to "black" out my emblems...more of a black chrome. i know its gonna be easy to take the rear ones off but does anyone know how to take the front one off? it seems like it would be harder...

You would have to pull the bumper to get the grill off. Then you could access the emblem from the back Never tried to take the H off, but i am pretty sure you it has screw or plastic tabs holding it in!!

the bumper doesnt need to come totally off, but it does need to be dropped down away from the core support in order to get behind it

That is true, just drop it down enough to get behind the grill. That should work!!

You dont want to clear chrome, it dulls the chrome look!!

WOOOT WOOOT!!!! i did the DIY today. i bought this black tint spray from a hobby shop and it worked pretty good. ill post pics up tomorrow because its dark outside...but im pretty happy with the results!!!

Sorry, the guy mentioned painting it chrome, i was just giving the heads up on clearing chrome paint, not the chrome finish on the emblem allready!! In my experience it dulls the chrome paint.
