Removing resonator and intake tube on stock airbox
Just wondering if i cut the stock air intake (the resonator and the intake tube) would it be a liiiiiitle increased in performance? and would it sound like a SRI? Thanks

There would be no power increase, you are still using the stock intake with the resonator. The resonator gives your engine a little back pressure; therefore, minimizing your engine performance. I suggest spending a little $ on a reasonably priced short ram intake. Aem is always good. 130+ shipped. Just do a search!!!

$20-$50 on ebay is all you need.. yer not going to get any gains... basicly all you will do is clear out some room under your hood....

i drove without the resonator for a few days when i was expecting my new intake since i wanted to start early lol. didnt feel a difference, but when you get on the gas it sounds very loud like somethings wrong with the car, almost like broken exhaust. keep the stock intake intact if you want power, it also keeps the air a bit cooler coming from battery vs right next to engine. or get an intake if you like the noise.
