Rep Power: 231 Talimena Scenic Drive (56k NO!!!)
This is my front bumper...if the above picture is any indicator as to how much fun I had on this drive...then I think no more has to be said, lol
Anyways, so this is why I shouldnt take an unnecessary vacation from work. I went on an all day drive to Talimena Scenic Highway. Its a 54 mile scenic road that sits ON TOP OF the mountains in the Quachita National Forest. The road is between Talihina, Ok and Mena, Ak (hence the name Talimena). It took me almost two hours to drive 54 miles because of how many times I stopped to take pictures. There were so many scenic stops on the side of the road, I couldnt help myself. I probably took way too many pics but whatever. I like all of them, lol.
And oh yea, check it out...I made a video too, lol. I only made a took video of maybe the first 20 or so miles then I took the webcams off cuz I wanted to take some decent pics. Told ya I shouldnt take vacations! But yea, I mounted two webcams on my car. One on top of the roof of my car, and the other on my drivers side door near and facing the front wheel. I had to do some serious editing to shorten the video to 3 minutes so it can be viewable. I put the video at the very bottom (Just click that big blue box thing down there). It doesnt really give you a good feel of how fast I was going or how fast I was taking those turns...but its good enough.
Hope you all enjoy these pics and the video. Lemme kno whatcha think!

Rep Power: 270 Are those two Intel cameras on the outsie of the car? If so, it's a great idea for shooting movies from the car. Can you give us some details on how you did this?
Pics look good, the scenery is just beautiful.

Rep Power: 231 Thanks every1! Yea, the pictures only tell part of the story...its nothing compared to the experience...I plan on going back again in a few months cuz it was one of the best drives that ive ever been on...
Yea, actually those are two Logitech cameras...I used them to make a video (which is at the very bottom of that post)..all I did was tape it down to my car using normal tape and it stayed connected to my car fairly well...I just hooked it up to my laptop and I was good to go...however, I didnt use those two Logitech camera's to take all those still pictures of my car...I used a normal camera for that...

Rep Power: 231 The weather during the drive was unusual....it was clear blue skies when I got there, then it got really dark and cloudy really quick, then it sprinkled, then it to cloudy and as I was leaving, the clouds started to clear up showing the sky...which is what the last couple pictures show with the sunset n all...

I have 16" Royal Gunmetallic Rota GT3 rims wrapped in 205/50/16 Nitto Neogens. Id say the tire size I went with is perfect cuz it gives plenty of sidewall protection and gives me just enough tire to play with...
