I used dishwashing soap (Palmolive), a sponge, plastic bags (to cover alternator and other stuff), a garden hose and lastly Meguiar's Vinyl & Plastic conditioner/cleaner.
Make sure your engine is cool before cleaning and after you're done you gotta turn on the engine to warm it up and let the remaining wet spots evaporate faster.

what do you cover with plastic bags...if i tried that i think i would end up missing something. did you then spray water directly on the eingine?
does it really matter if you get everything wet.. cause at this local car wassh over here they have a feature for a high pressure hose wash for the engine bay with soap and i dont think they tell u to cover anything

clean engine bay.....i wish i could get mine that clean
i got the same thing. i bought that package for the paint not knowing that the package also included the under coating. now i have a dirty engine bay and i don't even need under coating because i don't drive the car in the winter

Thank you guys for all the comments
Well basically we covered the alternator and a few wires. I can't remember which wires anymore
Make sure you use a hose nozzle then choose shower so you won't have too much water pressure.
