hey i have an 03 civic ex. when i first got the car i put a fireball style muffler on it, looked really good, and really wasnt loud at all. A few months later i decided to go to a local shop and get a custom catback put in. After the job, i get in my car, start it up, pull away and i can barely hear my radio the exhaust is so loud. Ends up they took out my resonator. I didnt know that would make such a big deal! (this being really my first car that i'm doing stuff to). So anyways, i put in the silencer and have been living with it for the past 6 months or so. Its still loud, especially on the highway and anywhere over 4k rpm its intolerable ( at least for me, hah). Basicly what i would like to know is, if i were to just get my stock exhaust welded back on would it make a big enough difference even though there is no resonator? i would like to keep my current exhaust on since it looks very good, so anyone have a resonator laying around tehy wanna sell? lol..if not, any recommendations on any good high flow queit mufflers? any help would be appreciated..

just get a resonator put back in and you should be alot better with that if not go with the stealth look and use the ES OVAL. I had that on my 94 with a 2.5 inch cat back exhaust and a resonator it sounded great. Hope that helps.

well i have a full magnaflow cat-back, and it's dayyum quiet, i hardly every hear the muffler while drive, on top of my stereo, i NEVER hear it! plus i got a resonator on it as well...

Get an 05+ RSX S oem muffler!!! Its quiet, looks original and nice and it does has some tone but really quiet!!

does anyone know where i can get a factory resonator? heh, i took care of the not hearing the radio problem by a good old rockford fosgate 1000 watt sub

i would just get a resinator. keep the exhaust. i have 2.5 inch pipe and silencer on it with resonator on it. sound is very low tone but with silencer out it is loud.
