Umm...I bought a cheap one off ebay and it didn't bend under the fuel lines, and it hit. I put a little circle of adhesive felt used for the bottom of chairs until I bent it to go under them.
My aem sri brushed against my hood. It never really seemed to fit well, silicone hose that connected it to the throttle body got all distorted.
I don't have the same problem w/ the k&n typhoon sri.
What intake do u have?

I have the same problem. A guy at a parts store told me i need to cut the intake but i bleeve that the crappy ebay ones just dont have a tight enuff radius on the first 90 degree bend to the left.
what i did is to push the intake as far as it would go down, then tightened up the band clamps on the rubber boot so its sittin kinda sideways in the boot. then i used a rag tied around the pipe right where the ridge on the hood hits... btw this doesnt work all that well but for $30 o well right?

damn almost 2 pages of the same post
but yea just make sure you pushed it down all the way and tighten the clamps well, or just trip the pipe a little, its not hard at all, my ebay one doesnt hit my hood at all
also i noticed that there is a little aluminum tab cast into the t/b on the front side (front of car side). this is probably from the stock airbox so that it lines up right.. i slid my rubber boot down OVER this tab to gain about 1/4 inch of clearance.
ok so here is a question. has anybody overcome this problem after installing a t/b spacer?
