Need Advice on Buying a Civic

I plan on spending $10000-$15000. The only one I could find in that price range where I live is a 2002 LX. I test drove it but the 115hp just wasnt enough for me.

I was thinking of getting a 1999-2000 sir with 160hp, I found a few on autotrader.ca and there only a couple of hours away. I found lots of si's and was wondering whether I'd be better off getting an si with 127hp and putting a supercharger on it?

My concern with the sir is the only ones I can find have alot of km on them. I could get an si for cheaper and with alot less km on it and put a supercharger on it to get the horsepower I want.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated, thanks

if youre looking for the cheap route, I say get the Si (US EX) and then swap it out for a B series.

Would it be better to spend $17000-$18000 and buy a 2002 rsx? I'm willing to go a little over my budget as long as it's worth the extra money.

get an eg hatch.... can usually pic one up for like 1500-2000. drop k20a2 in there. few mods. call it a day. motor and some mods run you like 6-8k. so for like 10k have a nice hatch. have you some nice kill stories too.

I dont like the looks of the civic hatchback (please dont flame me for this, I know alot of people love it).

So my options are:

1) 1999-2000 civic sir
2) civic si + b16 engine
3) civic si + k20a2 engine
4) rsx 160hp
5) rsx 200hp

I would be happy with any of these options but which one do you guys think gets me the best value for my money? I imagine the rsx will cost me more in insurance and more in repairs but will probably have better handling and increased comfort. If you had to choose one of these options which one would you choose?

Well I've decided to get the rsx premium. It has heated leather seats and 160hp. I can get a 2002 for about $14000. Thanks for the advice.

I would chose 1999-2000 SIR, the cheapest and best looking, IMO. Same hp as the rsx premium.
