Angry I'm an idiot.
i was installing my vafc2 today, and when i was almot done, i realized that i had the wiring diagram upside down . i had to pull out all my wire taps and fix all the wiring so that i could drive to class . now i have to go to radio shack, get more wire taps and try again... this time with the diagram the right way.

That sucks make sure u have the right wiring diagram otherwise U will be missing some wires that need to be connected.

A soldered wire is stronger than a tapped wire, and also a little more efficient. But for a normal ecu wire this will work just fine as long as it doesnt fall out.

I understand, its a part you dont want to screw up. I agree he should solder the wires, but physically the unit will not perform differently.

or just buy the dezod PnP harness. either way i agree they should be soldered. if the connection causes any resistance it will change the signal going to the ecu.

i finally got it up and running. the wire taps will be strong enough to hold the wires in place... i should know... i had to take out about 8 of them .
