Wax ASAP?
When I get my hood on, should I wax my car ASAP? Like will the good get water spots on it, sense it hasn't been waxed, and just has clearcoat?
It's a ViS brand new Carbon Fiber hood by the way.

Well I dunno if this is true, but this is what I was told when I got my first car (stang)
Ok it was wrecked so we did the body work, and painted it, and clear coated it. It was black, and I was told if I didn't wax it, and let water sit on it, the spots would get in the clearcoat/paint and be very difficult to get off.
But I got the hood from www.showstoppersusa.com does it come clearcoated, or do I need to get that done?

Yeah my hood is from VIS and thats why I never got my carbon fiber trunck yet because VIS is the only on e that makes the trunk for a coupe. But I heard Seibon is coming out with a trunk within a few weeks. The VIS stuff is great quality but I have no idea why it changed colors. Good luck with yours.

water spots are caused when the water evaporates and any dirt it was carrying is left behind on the car. its no big deal, and its hard to prevent. Either dry the car by hand, wash with purified water (autodry system, or similiar), or live with it

just wax it now. it will fog if you let it sit in the sun. after it does, you can sand it will a really high grit paper and re-gel it. VIS has a gel goat, not a clear coat, at least thats what they used to be. It supposed to be glossier longer than hard clear coat.
