Rep Power: 235 3 Mods Happening Today!!
Hey eveyone, today i get to get a little greasy!!! I will be installing my header, underdrive pulley and ground wiring kit!!
my only problem so far is, i did not get a gasket for the lower part of the header, so i have to go to a muffler shop to get one...not a prob. then on the underdrive pulley, i have to get the belts...it says to use 38.75" for the alternator and a 38.5" for the power steering. if anyone has any suggestions on a better belt size, let me know!!

Rep Power: 233 And why dont you just use the gasket off of the stock one. Ive got megan racing header's and they came with no gasket. Thats because the gasket only comes with the downpipe. So you pull the doughnut looking thing off your stock and put it on the new headers.

Rep Power: 233 Yeah but i dont think the doughnut one really counts. Im using it on my megan header now and its given me no prob at all. I mean if you take it off a car thats 10 years old or it looks like you souldnt reuse it then dont. Just make sure its on there perfectly straight when you tighten down the header to downpipe. also tighten the two bolts where the header meets downpipe evenly DONT tighten one the whole way and then the other.

Rep Power: 233 your gonna need a chain wrench to stop the crank from spining. But i suggest you go to your friends house and use the gun it'll take about 5 secs with that.

Rep Power: 233 it looks like a bike chain on the end of a wrench you wrap it around the pulley so that when the wrench hits the ground your pulley will no longer move. alowing you to remove the bolt without the pulley moving.

Rep Power: 235 in the written directions, it says to put the car in 5th gear and apply e-brake, is that the same thing being accomplished? by that, i mean, having the car in gear will make the pulley not move?

Rep Power: 233 I only installed the pulley on a 92 integra, it moved untill i went and got the wrench. Let me know how it goes on the vic. But pulling the ebrake will do nothing for a car with an engine that drives the front wheels. Even when my teg was in gear that pulley would stil move. But your cars probly at least ten years newer then the teg so try it and let me know how it goes.

ground wiring kit, i am getting from my friend so there is no cost to me!
too late on the pulley, already bought it, might as well put it on!

there is something to be said about working on your own car and i am not talking about saving money from having someone else do it for you. also, the girls like it too ahhh, there are always side benefits!!
p.s. my engine bay is really dirty ...i know i posted adivice on how to clean your engine bay but i don't live at home so i don't have a blower and whatnot to do it!! nonetheless, the advice is still good i just have not done it in a while!!!
