so what kind of guages to get?
ok i bought the speedo bezel awhile ago and i was looking at it 2night and i was thinking my interior is really stock and im gonna start doing some things and i know i want some gauges. im thinking im gonna go with a voltage gauge but idk what else to get. maybe a/f or oil temp? since this is my daily/show vehicle i want something practical. so suggestions are welcome
also is this in the right forum? if not mods go ahead and move it.

if you need practical gauges, you really dont need any honda equips all of their cars with the gauges needed to run
if you have a high voltage sound system go ahead and get a Voltmeter
if you have intake header and exhaust an air-fuel would be nice (if you must)
and oil temp is basically useless unless your boosted but you can get it if you want filler gauges

i would go oil pressure, that was the murderer of my old car, reguardless it had 180k on it, but still. my car was runnin fine, then i looked down at my oil pressure guage(came on the cluster), noticed it was a bit low, was like eh, i can make it home only 5 minutes away. 2 seconds later BAM! needle dropped and blew 2 bearings

Trade oil temp for water temp. The stock gauge is a POS. Oil temp is a PITA unless you really need it.

Okay NOBODY better get an air/fuel unless you want a broken car. I still can't believe people get/recommend these in this day and age.
If you get the oil temp or oil pressure its best to get the oil filter adapter from greddy. Takes about 10 mins to install. the adapter has 2 places for the gauges and also a place where you can run a oil line to a turbo. I have my oil temp setup that way. My oil pressure is running off a steel braided line setup.

Thats actually not the way you hook up an oil temp gauge. For it to register accurately, with the number that counts, it needs to be mounted submerged in oil, IN THE PAN. Otherwise its giving an intermediate reading, and not the static temperature of the mass of oil in the engine, which is what matters.

There is a good DIY on the site about how to hook up the oil pressure gauge. There is a pic of mine on my gallery. But the guy who did the DIY has a pic by pic layout. I think it took me about 2 hrs at the most to do.
