Angry BUILDUP - finishing up phase one

Phase I
#1 AEM CAI (red) - I've got my CAI installed (no write up or install for the forum)
#2 - I ordered my header today (HP Full Race Header w/ Cat)
there will be a writeup with pics
#3 - I've chosen an RS*R catback system for exhaust
(there will be a writeup with pics)

#4 - Since I am replacing stock cams and internals and want to do my own tuning. I will be using a Greddy e-Manage which was recommended by TrueHonda

Phase II
#5 - Crower Springs and Retainers
#5b *possibly will replace stock vavles as well.? should I?
#6 - Crower Stage II N/A Cam

Phase III
#7 - AEM cam Gear (red)
#8 - AEM Pulley Kit (red)
#9 - Exedy Stage 1 Clutch Kit

This will complete the engine build.

Finishing Up With Nitrous
I am going to also install some kind of Nitrous Kit, Purge valve, that is push button power. I don't want it running on it's own.
I figure I need a 9-10k Tach as well? Recommendations.

I already replaced stock Tires with Fuzion 205/60R-15's.
I am looking at a 15x7 inch rim.. Rota or Konig.
I miss anything?

My goal is between 140-150 whp.
Is that obtainable

don't get a 9k-10k tach if you don't plan on revving that high.

even if you build up your head, you're gonna snap your rods after 7800-ish rpms. stock valves are fine ... replace your rods ... and while you're at it (if you're going n/a), get hi-comp pistons too

Don't waste your money with a Single cam gear.

i think the only worthwhile mods you have are the exhaust (cause it looks and sounds good), and the cam gear for nitrous. Good luck with all that other stuff but don't expect much gains. Also read up some more because changing valves and internals is not easy.

I think buying bolt ons are never the horsepower gains that you expect, but that is the same with all motors...building the motor is where more horsepower gains are usually made and to say that our motors are slow is lame...they are starting to come out with more and more internals and i think its great...everyone says that there is no potential but only a handful of guys have actually tried and the ones that have are super stoked about it...so i think people who stick with bolt-ons and are disgusted with the performance of their vehicle, keep it too yourself until you've tried it all. IMO

I feel this way because there is a coupe here in hawaii with a d16y8 with a stage 1 cam, I-H-E, stage 1 clutch, and a 30 shot nitrous (YES, 30 shot) running on street tires and gutted who ran a 13.9. All of which our motors are now capable of being equipped with...

I'm spending alot of money for a little power

As I said in the NA forum on superhonda.
The car's paid for....

I'm budgeting the 181.85 dollars a month the note was into doing what I want. i don't want turbo. i don't want k series. neither came in my car.

if anything, i'll be "spending alot of money"
buying a new head, building it, putting it on, tuning w/ e-manage.
if that aint enough

i'll buy a 2006 civic SI
I can.....
