oh hey a side note, dont let them bolt that **** on those shitty brackets supplied with bolt up exhaust kits just scrape on everything and eventually break off, spend the extra cash and have the whole thing welded up

is it possible to bolt, and then weld? just incase something was not to your liking.

the bolt up works good to get a feel of where the exhaust sits so you can adjust how it fits the body and the indercarriage but definatly have them weld it, it shouldnt cost much more clamping them sucks

a cheaper alternative is to bolt it all up and put that liquid metal crap over the areas that slide over eachother, it really sucks to have to keep tightening brackets, my car torques the exhaust so much i had to retorque once a month

Guys since ive tried almost all of these, i think my $.02 can be thrown in. Simple terms here:

Very Loud: Skunk2, Tanabe, Crap on ebay that has 0 R&D. Now some are loud in a race kind of way Skunk. Tanabe, well on the d17 its ok, not my recomendation but ok. Obx, egay stuff = beeeeeeeeeeeeees.

Loud/Moderate: Greddy Evo2, Apexi N1 - Had this on my car. Loved it and sounds mean

Quit/Moderate: RSR Exmag, Apexi WSII, and as quoted teh magnaflow possibly falls here.

You know I got most of these - ebay and magna so let me know.

HKS HiPower, I like how it sounds even though i dont have one.. not loud at all, very deep at low RPMs. Once u start redlining it sounds sick!! apexi is nice too, im not sure which one but my buddy has it on a 1.8t and his car sounds like a fn jet its awesome. added: just looked at pics, and its the world sport 2

don't get skunk2 i have it on my 01 and the mmuffler hangers(metal) broke and they were such a pain in the *** to get me a new one on what I had to do that I went to meineke and had them reweld it for 10 bucks. Now I will never buy another skunk2 part again and that was my favorite tuner company up until that point. I wouldn't even buy there shift ****. I live in ny to so be prepared for tickets(one dropped to parking ticket, once pulled over let go, and one pending) I'm buying a new exhaust soon to replace the skunk2pieceofcr@p I have now. I was going to wait to spring when I do my swap but since this latest ticket Im gonna get a new one from ed(i think the apexi ws) Save money and do the swap(If you plan on keeping your car) ANother note honda will void your warranty for any aftermakrket mods and then you will have to fight them. They win first and if you are lucky later tru fighting(consumer protection, federal trade, etc.) but you could be without your car for a while while they decide wether or not the mods did the damage. It happened to me and honda won-couldn't wait any longer to continue fight-had to swap the tranny- had no third and fifth- got as far as the consumer protection agency but they sided with honda due to the fact that they don't have mechanics that could tell what happened. Go to sema.org for more info but its a long teadious struggle against a corporate giant and be prepared in the end to pay for denied warranty work in the end
