So Which Exhaust Should I Get???

well i think its time for me to get rid of my stock exhaust on my 04 coupe, im trying to decide between the greddy evo2 and the skunk 2 megapower, i basically want one with the deepest sounding tone, nothing close to the ricer sound at all, someone on this site told me the skunk 2 was really good sounding, but i see most people on this site with the evo 2, anyone have any suggestions which one i should get, or any other options, i have about a $550 spending limit, thanks, later:rockon:

Greddy evo2...i have it on my ride and its sounds great

RHCP0801 11-29-2005 11:30 PM

I've got an Apexi GT Spec system and I love it. It has big 2.5in. piping all the way back to an n1 style muffler and it has a very clean and deep sound to it.

RSR exmag

wheamahm0n3yat 11-29-2005 11:58 PM

RHCP0801 11-30-2005 12:04 AM

i was also wondering, should i just put it on myself, i put the cold air intake on myself and a few other things, or do u think i should just get it put on professionally just in case i screw it up or something

Does anyone know whether the thermal stealth sounds anything like the rs-r exhaust.

zen_master 11-30-2005 07:37 AM

Turbo_civic25 11-30-2005 10:32 AM

you cant **** it up. can you unbolt some bolts then tighten them back up? if you can then you can install the exhaust.

RSR hands down the best.

Curiouz_G 11-30-2005 07:00 PM

get the greddy evo II.... you cant go wrong with that.

RHCP0801 11-30-2005 07:22 PM

i think my final desicion is the skunk 2 megapower catback because i heard that the greddy evo 2 gets shitty after about a year and sounds bad in the rain, any other info would help me out a lot

truehonda 11-30-2005 07:33 PM

I replied to your post. We have the RSR, apexi etc. = RSR is def teh win!

crzy619 11-30-2005 07:37 PM

how about you dont get any and save your money for something that will actually make you go faster. i said screw all that intake headers crap and did a swap.. dont waste your money. no matter what you put on you'll still sound like your going faster than you really are.

gearbox 11-30-2005 07:39 PM

skunk2 is gonna be louder than you can imagine. just prepare for that.

theres no way in hell ill ever have enough money for a swap, i dont feel like finding the engine, and all the crap that goes with it and than waiting for it to be done, my car is still warrantied and i know it will not be with a swap, i know it wont make it go faster i just want a new sound and the warranty stands with exhaust and intake, it just messes up the emissions warranty which is nothing

its not that ricey sound tho right

civicvtec1ps 11-30-2005 07:43 PM

Skunk2 is ricey for me, it's way too loud.
RSR hands down.

RHCP0801 11-30-2005 07:45 PM

as long as its loud and sort of a deep tone cause i know civics cant go that deep, i dont care but i really dont want a fart can, but i do want loud

ryangt 11-30-2005 08:08 PM

magnaflow is the best kit you can get. Ive tried skunk 2, ive tried the greddy they suck ass. they make no real power and they are shitty quality and look and sound ricey.
The maganflow looks beautilf and very clean on the car, noone would ever acuse it of being rice looking or sounding, it sounds deep and clean. but let off the gas a bit and its quiter than you would ever beleive, its great for cruising past cops. Stomp the gas and it roars to life.

Plus its cheaper than the greddy and the skunk2

my .02 is that anyone buying a differnent exhaust than the magnaflow should be drug out into the street and shot for treating their civic like a ricer burner

gearbox 11-30-2005 08:08 PM

okay rsr is not for you then. its noticable but not loud enough to be annoying like you prolly want. Then you're gonna have to go with thermal, greddy, or skunk2 for loud exhaust.

ryangt 11-30-2005 08:09 PM

rsr sounds better than skunk 2 and greddy but it looks like shit, look at that pic on the first page, id be imbarassed if that hunk of shit was protruding from my car

RHCP0801 11-30-2005 08:17 PM

i guess im still gonna go with the skunk 2

ryangt 11-30-2005 08:18 PM

thats your call man, more money for alot less product, im sure that skunk 2 name plate will win you a race or too out of intimidation

ryangt 11-30-2005 08:19 PM

go magnaflow you wont be sorry and the kit take like 30 min to install and is super clean, and the guys at magnaflow have online tech support if you need help installing it
