what ever theme you are going for, if your car is black, red, blue whatever.
to show off the trunk go get 2 paint sticks that u use to stir paint.
paint them the same color as the car.

use those to prop up the car, it will open it enough to see the whole system
and enough to see the shaved trunk.

eh, sounds like it will work but my trunk is dam heavy from the extra metal and whatnot, id be afraid the sticks would snap and theyd look cheesy. im thinking of maybe getting a box of uncle bens rice, (lol yes im joking but more i think of it, more i think it would be funny)

well the problem with the flip flop trunk is that my subwoofers hit like a missile when i want them too, and i know the hinges will just allow the trunk to flap at that spot and sound like crap. im looking for something a lil more showy than paint sticks.

You want something to show off both, but you want your stereo playing also, but you don't want the flip flop trunk and you think the paint sticks will be too cheezy, your making this way to difficult man, Just get a rod of something, put some rubber or something on the end so it doesn't scratch, paint them the color of the car.

not that difficult, no flip flop trunk, so i need something to prop it up and something i could pick up today, (so nothing to rig up like shocks) so all im asking is what would you guys think would look decent for a show to hold the trunk open? ive seen like tire shine bottles that are colorful but im wondering if theres anything else. theres tons and tons of things and ive only ruled out paint sticks.

i said get steel rods and paint them. They would match and serve the purpose, you can make them any length you want to, you can go thick with them or thin.

i sa a person do plexi glass rods and put an LED in the botytom of it to light it up. just run it off a battery pack of 4 C batteries and it will last all day. and the 4 C batteries added up = 6volts which is maxeing out a standard LED but after a few minutes the voltage will drop.

Mine... I just open it all up, put the trophies on display, put my photo log book usually in the trunk and turn everything on, sometimes have a video going on the visors and music playing thru the stereo. Even my simple little car will get a lot of attention because I try and make it look appealing and have it playing showing my work off...
