SVongkasem - Looks very nice. I love the satin black! When I finally get a bike in a few years, I plan on having it painted like that. Is this your first bike?

eye_see_you - How do you like having VTEC on a bike? Does it kick in hard? It seems to me that having that sort of kick in power when you're on something that only weighs a few hundred pounds would be scary and hard to control. I'm no expert on bikes though, so I could be completely wrong.

I filled up gas at an expensive gas station the other day and the total was only $6.65!

I'm not sure how many miles is considered "a lot," but I rode my brother's bike during the summer (same bike but 2001) and it runs the same, very strong. The bike is matte black because the previous owner sanded down the paint job (it used to be Red and Purple, faded red = pink). It's not the newest or best looking, but it's something to learn on. I gotta get me some mirrors.

That Honda is nice, but I probably wouldn't be able to handle it. Hawk: is that a SV650?

It's just a primer I think, lol. I don't think you want to strip the paint on a new bike. It actually looks pretty stealthy/sleeperish. I don't mind. Yeah, it's my first bike. I'm just getting a used one for now so I can learn and that I won't kill myself. What kind of bike are you gonna get? The MSF course helps a lot.

I thought that anything above 30k miles was alot and that they didnt last much past that.... but I'm not sure. I'm sure it depends on how u ride but I'm almost positive that it = 125k + for a car (domestic, not Honda. LOL)

when the VTEC kicks in on the bike its at 7k rpm and the damn thing red lines at 12k rpm so you can imagine its a whole new beast once I hit that point.

Here's my 1996 ZX6R. More than fast enough, and it's great on gas. It runs low 12s when I don't launch it like a madman. It's got close to 40,000 miles on it, it still purrs like a kitty and goes like stink!

My insurance (full coverage) is $720/year. It used to be $500/year but my bike got classified as a sport bike this year.

Theres some hot R6s around here, I was looking at the new ones online last night on the Yamaha corporate site, man they're sick. The black ones are hot as hell and the engines on them rev to 17,500rpm, probably not too street-friendly, but either way, I can't even imagine what a bike would -sound- like at 17,5k rpm.
