New interior due to hurricane in the car!!!
hat's right, my fiancé had a hurricane in her car!!! lol
It start off, we went to Honda because she had leak in her '04 civic, I told them it's probably the piping for the sunroof, they said it was the door seals and replaced them and gave it back to her.
So next time it rained, again her floor was wet, so we make another appointment for Tuesday of this week, she goes in and they claim not to have her in the book
SO she gets another appointment for Thursday, well on Tuesday night and Wednesday, the hurricane hit our area (not really a hurricane just some wind and tons of rain). So the car by Thursday morning now has literally puddles of water in it
It is knocking you out because of a mold smell (which she's allergic to) and the dealer says this, "well we think it may be the tubing from the sunroof" Now they have to replace the ENTIRE interior on the car. But it's going to take a week to get the parts in, so in the mean time she gets to drive a almost brand new moldy/musty wet civic.
Venting all done
Oh yeah, on the plus side, I'm picking my new toy today, a '95 Integra GSR

Well, it's still under warrenty, so it's all free, no worries about cost just inconevience of driving a moldy car around for week then dropping it off. Plus, the car is leased lol
The problem is that the seal around the sunroof leaks, they all do. The reason factory sunroof are better is because the car is designed for this, there are water traps around the sunroof, these then drain into a small tube that runs down the drivers side front pillar, down the dash and out the car, this tube was not fastened properly for the factory. Hance when it rained hard, water literally flowed into the inside of the car. There is a really nice DIY with great pictures on how to fix this, I was almost ready to print it out and give it to them and say "do this!" lol
