painted valve cover
ok, im trying to get my car ready for a car show in a week and a half, and in thinking of making my engine bay look nicer, i came across the idea of painting my spark plug cover thingy that says HONDA and VTEC, battery tie down, fuse box, and ebay intake RED and paint my header cover and the valve cover chrome
with that i have 3 questions
do you think it will look nice and anything else i should paint or shouldnt paint?
and
what temperature paint should i get for everything?
and
should i sand everything down and prime it before paint?
thanks

Don't paint it
I think that changing the battery tie down + strutbars to DC sports will make the enginebay look much better
P.S. this is a picture of my friend's engine bay, DC battery tie down + strutbars + Top Fuel intake + CF valve cover

i did my valve cover and CAI. wish i didnt do it....im going to change everything around. blue is just too showy for me. im thinking black. we'll see though. good luck w/ your decisions. oh and i used duplicolor metalcast...paint has done real well in high heat. no bubbling or anything. now to answer your other questions. you should sand it down w/ fine grain sandpaper and yes....use a primer base and let it dry. i messed up on that part. haha here's the link. http://www.duplicolor.com/products/metalcast.html
