If I'm not mistaken, the Rebel XT comes w. packaged software that makes it easier to string together panorama shots from individual shots. Personally, the distortion you get from lenses that are too wide-angle doesn't do it for me, better to take a bunch of pictures and Photoshop them together. Just mount the camera on a 3 axis tripod (vs a ball head), let the horizontal axis move freely whilst you lock in the other two, then just take pictures while panning from left to right, stopping a frame at a time to snap one off.

even with a tripod snaping from left to right u will have a distortion
because each shot will have its own vanishing point

here's what i mean about the vanishing point
i used a tripod and i use photoshop to stich 6 shot together to make a whole
there's some imperfection in it
but what i mean is that even with a tripod u have a distortion
maybe there is a way that i dont know about it

my room... till may. then i move out to my own apartment for my last 2 years of college.
sorry bout the ghost chair on the left. i moved it and the program didnt like that at all.

if you are wondering what posters I have:
Monty Python and the Quest for the Holy Grail
Transporter 2
Alien Vs Predator
Office Space
Jessica Alba... I mean fantastic 4
[doom 3 cardboard cutout on floor all the way on the right of pic]
fight club
animal house

the red car over by my desk is the only thing keeping me sane. Computer Engineering is really hard at Penn State! I am actually taking a break from my 8+ hours of homework and studying that I am doing today to post this
