Sound Proofing rattles Squeaks

I was thinking of making my civic more quiet. I would like to reduce the road noise that comes in as well as the interior engine noise when the windows are closed. Have any of you ever installed dynamat extreme under your hoods or in trunk or flooring. Am I the only crazy dude that wants a quiet civic.

hmm this seems to be a hot topic. i wish someone would really do a write up with a cheap material for making our cars less road noisy.. on the highway i need to turn up my music.. even HIGHER haha
