never heard of it... link?
basically I want something quality, short, and preferably will give me as much power as I could expect out of an intake...
keep in mind my car is filled to the nines with audio gear, so I need the space under the hood for battery/wiring/fuses/et al. a short ram intake would be good, I'm just trying to find one that is suitable for me

I only paid $175 shipped for typhoon. Has mandrel bent piping for smoother air flow (not possible with plastic), xtream tip filter for better airflow, etc. I'm gonna try and fit a generic metal heat shield around the filter.
I sure wish my car was newer

^ I would think that the benefits of the mandrel bent piping and such would be nullified due to the lack of a headshield. Our engine bays are very tight and cramped for space. Wouldn't the metal piping also heat up quicker than plastic?

i'll let you know since I would have tried both in another week. The only concern I have is the heat shield might not fit because of that radiator hose in the way. from the pic above.

also worth noting...if you believe the K&N dynos...the typhoon was dynoed at 92F degrees and made 5+whp, the fipk dyno alot cooler around 70F and made only 4+whp.
