Rep Power: 296 very nice mod. i want to do a similar project. for the computer part of it, i suggest getting on of those thermal heat pipe heatsinks. The kinds you see in the shuttle spc pc's. There more efficient in cooling a small area with little ventilation.

I drilled a few small holes in my ducts so when i turn my air on, it also blows inside my dash. And the screen is VGA touchscreen so no need for a mouse.
No no, I mean to get output, not for power. How did you wire the screen?

Rep Power: 0 what are the specs on your system...and where did you get the equipment at.. You could try using one of the water cooling systems to keep your pc from getting to hot.

Rep Power: 0 Thanks for the input everyone, this system took alot of hard work and alot of relocating. Literally took months of careful planning, but its finally in and now I dont have to carry CD's anymore, I have my entire mp3 collection to my disposal. Because my audio out on my motherboard goes to my Auxilary In on my head Unit. And can also watch Dvd's at anytime, and surf the net with my wireless card when I find hotspots. If you look on Page 1 where my pictures are and look @ picture number 8. You can see my wireless card located on top of my steering column.

The Hard drive is mounted in the glove box in a suspended state. So far I have no problems, but If I incur problems inthe future then I will probably upgrade to a laptop hard drive.

Yeah, San Marcos is pretty steamy. Need to worry more about keeping the system cool (which is covered) then worry about it freezing.

The screen is a VGA(computer monitor connector) Touchscreen and it has a USB connector for the touchscreen. But it also has s-video and Rca, but the reason why its so clear is because of the vga connection.

Here are my specs:
-Via Epia m10000 motherboard (1ghz processor)
-256 DDR Ram
-Slimline DvD optical drive with adaptor (so I can use a laptop drive to IDE interface
-Tview Vga Touchscreen
-Mini Thumbpad
-20Gb Hard Drive (upgrading soon)
And so far the system is staying cool, even though its like 100 degreez out here.

Yep, thats it. Its not as expensive as some of the other screens, BUT this screen is nice and clear. I personally think its an awesome price for what you get.

Yea I bought it!!! Your install convinced me!..HeHe, No but I seriously have been thinking of how to get all of my music in my car and access it when ever I feel, I have like three extra pc's from new builds and they have the same specs as yours so I am going to go for it!

Rep Power: 0 Awesome man, If you have any Q's just PM me and I will help you as much as I can. Some poeple under estimate this Tview screen, because of the price. But I think it kicks *** and is just as good as the more expensive screens, IMO.

I read the whole auction as an ex-installer I used to install tview products but never a touch screen just there regular monitors but 199.00+20.00 to ship I just couldnt resist! I'll post pics of mine when Im done, But its going to be while becuase Im still fiberglassing parts of my trunk and wrapping everything in vinyl so I have mucho work to do in there + I work two jobs and starting school in july for my CCIE.
