Rep Power: 0 It's a tough call.. I'm debating the old intake, header, exhaust route.. but might just save up for either an engine swap or turbo (I miss boost).. But for now, I'm happy with the reliability, gas mileage, and economics of having a pretty stock car. I'm thinking either a hybrid or regular OEM spoiler in the near future, some black/gunmetal 15/16" rims, and probably some tint just to get the exterior all set. It's just a tough call wether to put money into mods that will add minimal power, or just wait and save up and deal with a "slower" vehicle until you can afford some real power gainers (swap/boost). This is the first car that I've actually put some money into working on the exterior so I've been getting used to that whole experience.
So all in all, if I really think to myself about it; what do I really need speed for? Sure it's fun, but in the end it's just more money, problems, and headaches. Do I really need to go 0-60 in less that 6 seconds or run the quarter mile in under 12? I guess not really. But if I think even deeper, what the hell good are exterior mods at all? Just aesthetically pleasing.. at least the HID and fogs will be functional/useful, and they won't affect the daily driveablility nor gas mileage/reliability of it so I think they're alright....
OK, to end the rambling, I do plan on doing some other mods. Probably finish off the exterior first (OEM spoiler, rims, tint), then [i]possibly{/i} doing the I/H/E route, or just end up saving the big bucks for a swap or turbo kit. But for now, I am happy for the most part the way things are, and in the end, could be content for the most part if I were to keep the car exactly as it is today.
