Side door moldings on sedan....

im gettin my car repaired from a hit and run and the way i was hit it got the whole back and 2 doors....so insurance is payin for that to get fixed and painted and so i decided im goin to just go ahead and get it all painted the bmw jet black.....but anyway.....i went to the shop today to talk with the guy doin the work and he suggested when he fixes it and repaints it all that i take off my SIDE moldings on the doors on both sides...he said it will look better and thats what most people do.......right now i have a a sedan with full xenon kit and black 18 axis seven mods......do you guys think i should get the door molding things taken off? are there any pics on the site from where people have done it??

theres more to it than just pulling them off...
there are holes in the sheet-metal for the clips that hold them on, so those would need to be properly filled

most likely they will charge you extra to weld the holes first.
