Exhaust

I have want to get a new exhaust, header high flow Catalyic Converter, piping the whole works. Will i get the best flow,performance, sound with factory size piping or say 2 1/2.

2.5 is to big.... you will lose all your torque

id go 2.25"... maybe 2.0" if u have minimal mods to the engine.

i got intake, underdrive pullie's and strut bar. Would it be better for me to stay stock.

dont stay stock. for a 1.7L vtec, with an intake and pully's id use 2.25" to take advantage of Vtec more..

i heard that hp headers don't fit 5 speed you have to modify alot of thing's

What is the stock size of the inlet to the catalytic converter? Is it 2"?

trust me i know sohc vtec is garbage, but a bigger exhaust will help his high end, when Vtec engages, he never said he was expecting huge power gains, but 2 1/4 will do more for power than stock.

yeah i did 2.25 custom piuping but its bent piping..got a light muffler...sound is very deep, but nice...power is also good with an intake..i can honestly say i felt a difference

i also have 2 1/4 i also can say that i have noticed a power gain in the top end but in the low end defentally lost power, but an overall gain

2.5" is for turbo applications.
