Sold the civic......*Pics of my new car*
Yea man, I cant see why out of all cars it had to be an xB... a big yellow box car is going to bring you more attention then a blue civic IMO
but as long as you like it thats all that matters.

My mom has had an automatic dark blue xB for a little over a year now and she has liked it a whole bunch; especially with gas prices and the fact her last car was a 5.0L powered AWD Mercury Mountaineer, that got like 12 mpg.
I bought an 05 black sand pearl xA 5 speed two weeks ago. I really like the car, and its noticably quicker than the auto civic was, even with 15 less hp. The handling seems to be better stock, and the chassis is stiffer. I also like the seats a fair bit more.
I have waited to see more than just pre-release shots of the RS 2.0, and I think it looks good!

yeah the first thought that came to my head was OMG as well lol. My solution to speeding tickets and cops hassling me = put stock intake and exhaust in and get a good radar detector. Good radar detector = no more tickets. Its saved my *** more then once, definately worth the investment.

^^^^^^
$400 radar detector? i'm thinking valentine one right? The valentine one cant detect pop. When they pop you, they get a general idea of your speed but they can't use it in court until they get a lock. They might have popped you without you knowing it and just followed you for a bit then used the rader gun so by the time you detected they already had a lock. The newer radar detectors like the Beltronics X65 and Escort 8500 x50 can detect pop, which makes them better then the old valentine one.
I know some cops like to use pop first then the k band radar. its happened to me a few times, i've usually take my foot of the gas pedal when i detect a pop and then brake then their's K band. I know the cops use Ka in Cailifornia, not sure about where you live.

That thing is ugly, luckily we don't have them up here yet. Honestly you should have just sold your turbo kit and put the stock stuff all back in. Reaped the benefits of the cash. Then waited three years down the line and swapped in a k20 with turbo and really tried to make the civic fast. I am sorry I am just calling it as it is here but I would never have spent more money on an uglier car just to one day sell it and buy what you already had. Honestly I would trade in the Scion before I seriously regretted it. Sure it is reliable and will last a while but can you really see yourself driving that thing for three years dealing with strange looks followed by laughter. To each thier own as long as you are happy keep it. Since this is Aril 1 I hope this is an April fools joke.

wow that scion xb is a complete pos I'm sorry. It's one of the few cars slower than a stock civic so I guess you'll stay out of trouble.

How are you not going to get in trouble with the cops with a car like that? That yellow paint job sticks out like a sore thumb.
The car doesn't have to be quick but if you drive it to fast speeds then you're just as screwed as if you had the civic.

its true, a cop would definately notice that before your civic, although i know its not all about him noticing it its about what your doing when he notices it. the only way to make the xB sweet is to dump like 10 grand into a sound system to fill the back up and some rims and a drop.... if you chopped and sectioned the roof like they do to old old cars like t-buckets it would look sick

This will keep me intrestingly busy for the next 3 years, and after that, (when my record's clean again) I'm def getting another civic

man, reading some of these comments lol. Seriously though, that thing looks like something the germans would have driven back in ww2.
I dont get how selling your civic and buying this thing would keep you out of trouble? Just drive slow in your civ... or at least shoulda got like a silver camry or something if u dont want to stick out.
But to be honest, that thing would be chill to drive around smoking blunts in, or folding down the back seats and going at it with some high school girl. We usta drive around in my friends mini van and party all night, it was like a room on wheels.
It just comes down to whether or not you like it or not. Ive bought a car before where i liked it at first, but now i really miss my old one. So think about that before sticking with the scion for years.
